If you think you've found the easy way...
Nov. 10th, 2019 07:20 pm... be wary. Be very, very wary. You might end up worse than going the difficult way.
But about that later. I owe you guys a few visuals (and audio documentation). Firstly, our last (and my first) gig with the Oldies. The recording isn't the best, we actually sounded a lot better, but I thought you might want to see. I'm not very visible on it: I'm the chubby, brown-haired woman with the glasses in the second row on the far right.
Then, IIRC,
adafrog asked about the dolls I made for the doll house quiet book. Here they are, with their current wardrobe. Which is not much, but they'll get more eventually. This is Page 2, the clothes trunk page.

And finally, the easy way that turned out not quite so easy. As I mentioned earlier, I've been invited to an Advent sewing group of my (former) colleagues. Well, I thought, if Advent sewing (even if a bit early), I ought to bring some cookies.
Not wanting to spend too much time with baking (because, you know,
picowrimo time and all, I thought I'd be clever and economic. I'd bake a sheet of cocoa sponge cake, cut out little stars when it's baked, put some icing and decoration on it and it will be finished. Easy peasy.
Well, it wasn't. It took me basically all afternoon. Granted, I should have climb the ladder and take down the metal cookie cutters - the plastic one just wasn't strong enough and high enough to cut through the sponge cake, so I had to free the stars with the help of a knife. All 24 of them. Then Mum decided that she wanted to do the washing-up before I started with the icing business, and she's slowed down considerably in recent years, the poor dear. I had to wait an hour or so before I could continue. Then the cake melts rebelled and didn't want to get liquid enough to cover the stars with them, so I had to make do with dropping a teaspoon of icing in the middle of each and decorate that little drop the best I can.
motodraconis, this one is for you - early Advent stars are early, but who cares, right?

And because we never waste any food, this is the trifle I made from the leftover sponge cake:

As you can well imagine, no crafting or writing was done today. *sigh*
