Quiet Book Page 7 - Apple Worm

Okay, another page done, which means I've got half of one quiet book, if I keep them very modest - and I'm planning to make two. Yes, we've already established that I'm insane, right? :P

Anyway, this is the original version.

And this is mine:



Admittedly, a lot less professional and a bit crowded, but I like it anyway. I think the face of my worm is cuter. And the big apple is actually totally red, not with this yellow-ish hint to it. My iPad didn't like the illumination, as per usual.

I found the original one a bit empty, TBH, so I thought I'd add some more colour. I might have gone a bit overboard with it, but I actually like the results.

Thank you. :) The ladybugs were really hard to make because they are so small, and I had to saw all the spots by hand - through several layers of felt. Why I thought that would be a good idea is beyond me. I should know by now that shortcuts rarely pay off.

I love the worms, especially the one in the halved apple, its expression is just too cute! I also like your page better than the original, it is more balanced design wise.
