I call it sea bottom page, and it's also been made following the tutorial of Sviatlana Babylina.

This is the original

And this is my version:

The background is actually a much lighter blue, but my iPad mini was acting up again. So I put the pic through the photo editor to lighten the colours, which resulted in this:

Not much better, I'm afraid. The blues are closer to the actual colour, but everything else is faded out (like the gold start that became white in this), and you still can't really see that the upmost part is in reality white striped with light blue. So I tried the autocorrect of the photo editor, and got this:

I think I still like the original best, despite the too dark blues.

Also, I wanted to apologize for not commenting all that much lately. I've been in a somewhat unhappy headspace due to my current inability to write anything worth sh*t. Crafting is a welcome distraction, as it enables me to create beauty with a few scraps of felt and accessoires, but it's just an excuse for the lack of writing, I'm afraid.

I've been re-reading my ten-year-old stuff on [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib, or rather the lovely comments of my fellow antigwennites (the Torchwood fandom is the most loyal and supportive one in cyberspace), hoping that it would help me through my gloomy mood. So far nor results. *sigh*

The page is so cute ... love the tortoise especially.

Keeping my fingers crossed your writing muse comes back soon.

I'm sorry your writing muse is not co-operating. Have you tried talking to your characters? e.g. Asking one of them a question and just letting them answer? It's a tactic that helps me often.

I actually prefer your version of the page. It has more detail to entertain for longer and does not have any little lumps that could be broken off and caught in a child's windpipe.

Thanks. I'm really frustrated by the lack of inspiration.

Well, the little critters are removable - they are fixed by double-sided tape, but the goal is that Theo can put them from one place to the other. He's 4 years old, so I hope he isn't eating small parts anymore. ;))

I like the first photo best, too.
I wish I had some advice for writers block but I don't. Although with creative work I find that if I force myself to do something I generally loosen up and get into the groove.

The original with the pastels is nice, but I prefer your color and design. Are these pages all separate or will you eventually sew them all together to make a book? The whole idea is very creative and wonderful for little ones.

I will sew them together to an actual book in the end. I'm already wetting myself when I think about the bin dong part, despite the excellent tutorial. ;))

Thanks. Luck is something I would desperately need. It is hard to struggle on when you know that nobody is gonna read/appreciate the results.

Oh, I do wrestle the story into obedience time and again. I just no longer enjoy it. But it already had a nine-year-long hiiatus once, and I fear I will never be able to finish it if I give in now.

It was supposed to be binding. Autocorrect strikes again, the stupid thing.
