The new/old curtain

motodraconis wanted to see it:

The teddy bear enthroned in front of it is Little Shithead (no, really, that's his name), the only male member of our family. The armchair we inherited from some barely known old relative from my grandfather's side. In the left corner you can see Grandma's bedside table - well, a slice of it. And on the big, empty, greyish-white wall will soon be covered by a poster, mostly in red: a print from one of the stained glass windows of the Église de la Reconciliation in Taizé.
My previous curtain had the exactly same pattern as the lampshade on the left. But back in those days we didn't have Venetian blinds yet, and the sun has bleached out a broad stripe right in the middle of them. It looked very ugly.
Little Shithead originally came with a brown bow with white dots around his neck but he complained that it wasn't manly enough. So I gifted upon them this original Dutch red neckerchief with the original Dutch little green wooden slipper as the tiepin, which we bought during our trip to the Netherlands, some ten or so years ago. The things one does for one's cuddly toys...
