We've just got a small box of Raffaellos from my cousin when he and his wife visited us two days ago. Neither Mum nor I actually like Raffaellos, and I thought making somehow a bouquet of them for somebody who likes them would be neat. I don't think I'll ever be able to copy this, though... not with my sausage fingers and my inability to use a hot glue gun properly. But perhaps I can steal the idea of decorating the confects themselves.

You don't like Raffaello? I'll have to unfriend you now ... *lol*

Man, I wish my fingers could move like that! Gorgeous, but beyond me and my gluing skills.

Well, see it that way - you can have my share as well!

The same here I'm afraid; although the video is speeded up a bit, I think.

Even so, mine don't move like that anymore...

A great idea for Christmas gifts, although I would probably not use all that voile on the outside of the cone, and there are places where a simple elastic band would have been easier than wasting good ribbon that would never be seen. Yes...I am stingy with my ribbon. :)

Having said that, it is a great idea and I may have a go at some point. Thanks for sharing.

The corsage is lovely, but the garden of crepe paper flowers is my favorite. Those women make their crafting look effortless!

Mine never did. ;) But I soldier on nonetheless.

Until you give the project a try...

You are welcome. I'm always glad to find other people with interest for crafting. I completely agree with you about the wastefulness, though. For my part I think I'll give the second version a try: I love all those crepe roses, although mine might be red instead of pink because I've got the red paper already and, as we agreed, wastefulness... Especially where good ribbon is considered, which is a thing of beauty. (I've got too much of it already, but I save every single piece for later...)

I was considering making a bouquet with the roses from the second video, combined with a much, much simpler version of the cone from the first one. It might actually work.

And that's all you can do.

The second one definitely looks like an easier one to start with and I'd probably start there. I don't have any polystyrene at present and I know, from experience, that glue guns are no good on oasis, which would be my other option. I suppose oasis would work, using dressmaking pins to fix the covering paper or fabric.

I'm afraid I have no idea what oasis is, but I've just bought a polystyrene ball that could be cut in two to serve as the basis of a bouquet. I'll definitely make the flowers from the second video, they seem doable, and perhaps a less fancy version from the cone. We'll see. If I manage it at all, there'll be pictures.
