wiseheartI had a busy day. After taking Mum to church, I baked the first batch of Christmas cookies - chocolate-peanut ones like these:
I didn't take any pictures this time because the things look just like the ones above (which I made a couple of years ago), only that the shapes are more rounded, which pleases me. Half the batch goes to a colleague who doesn't have the time for fancy Christmas baking, as she's very busy with school work and two toddler granddaughters, so I volunteered to bake her this year. Planned are about 6 or 8 different sorts, we'll see how many they will be in the end. I tend to get new inspiration along the way. There was a year I baked 30 different kinds!
On a less pleasant note, I managed to change the layout of FF.Net on my iPad (without intending to do so). No it is a lot harder to read everything, half the stuff I'm used to is missing and lots of stuff I don't need has appeared - and I have no idea how to redo it! I don't even remember having touched any button at all! I was wrestling with my mailing program and wanted to look up on webmail why is it acting up, and somehow messed up FF.Net while hitting Return repeatedly.
It is very annoying because I usually check the new Sherlock updates on my iPad when I have a free moment, and now the whole thing is a garbled mess! Well, not exactly garbled, I can read it (with the help of a radio telescope, due to everything turning so tiny and all line breaks having vanished), but it's so much bother! At first I thought the Pit of Voles changed something again within warning, but on my main PC everything looks as it always did, so the fault lies by me. I just don't know what it is! Grrrrrrr!
Edit: Oh! Oh! I found the magic button! There's a thingie called desktop/tablet mode on the bottom of the page, and after klicking it, things returned to normal. Yay!
