Well, 18, actually, as I was told today that I'd only have to work until December 4 - something or other with the calculation. I'll keep my countdown, though, since the higher authorities might change their minds back. You can never know. That way, any surprise coming up will be a pleasant one, right?

Nothing worth mentioning happened today - unless you consider the fact that it was frigging cold outside, and I had to stand around at the school yard for almost two hours. If I never see the godforsaken school yard in the rest of my life again, it will be too soon.

Still, the fact that it's going to end starts becoming real. I'll miss my colleagues and even the kids, but I'm really, really happy to be free from all the favouritism and mindless pressure.

We had our first freeze the other night and I stayed under covers for half the next day. I truly do not like winter. I remember having to stand in the school yard in the cold back when we could only wear dresses to school. Winters here are, I am sure, mild when compared to Hungary, but almost always wet, and to me, truly miserable.

Time is flying. Your retirement day is just around the corner *squee*

I agree with keeping the original countdown.

One has to be consequent, after all.

You'll find that the last two weeks fly by. I did. I was out of the door before I knew it and I have never been back. I know some of the girls from the old office get together for coffee once a month but I don't join them. That part of my life is OVER.

Well, I'm still a proud (founding) member of our choir, so I'll go back twice a week for choir practice, and I also promised some colleagues to help them whenever they want to bake or make craft-y things with their classes, so I won't leave everything behind me. I don't want to; Boss Woman shouldn't have the complete victory on the battlefield. But going back to help individual colleagues or to cultivate a shared hobby (singing) is a very different cup of coffee.
