73 days left...

... and though the day of liberation is still too far away for my taste, Mum and I are already making plans. We decided to make a day trip to Vienna on October 22, which is part of a loooong weekend, due to a national holiday.

It is going to be a rather busy weekend, as I'm going to have my replacement birthday party on the 19th and the big flat cleaning is going to happen on the 20th. But we won't restart work until the 24th, so I'll have two days on which to rest a bit, if everything goes according to plan. *fingers crossed*

Otherwise, not much is happening over here. Temperatures have dropped dramatically since yesterday and we can expect lots of rains (with the ever-present danger of balcony leaking) in the next two days, but that isn't something we can really help. *sigh*

Yay Vienna ... hope you can go.

We are having the same weather - 31° on Thursday and it barely reached 20° yesterday.

I love Vienna very much, although I've come to like smaller Austrian towns like Graz, St. Pölten or Krems even more. But we haven't been to Vienna since April, so it's high time we do it again. After all, it is only a 3-hour-trip by very comfortable train.
