Vacation diary, Day 4
Jul. 12th, 2018 07:28 pmWe had a day of missed blessings. Mum managed to eat something that didn't agree with her, so she couldn't go to Krems with me. She persuaded me to go alone while she remained in the hotel and called me on the mobil-előfizető phone several time to report in.
Despite this, I had a great time in Krems. I actually found the First Doctor DVDs - and a great deal cheaper than in Linz, at that. Thus I am now the proud owner of not only The Daleks but also The Unearthy Child, the very episode with which everything began. Yay!
I also found pretty papers and some scrapbooking stuff that I couln't resist. So, while I saved a pretty penny on the DVDs, meaning that Mum's lost train ticket didn't actually hurt that much, I spent almost a bit too much on stuff for paper crafts. Ah, well, I am on vacation, I deserve to be a bit unreasonable, right?
When I came back, Mum was feeling better, so we went to have coffee (her) and ice-cream (me) before returning to the hotel. It was a bit of a shock to realize that more than half of our vacation is already over. Time is flying when one is having fun.
Krems, Trinity Square:

The entrance to the gift shop called "Schlüsselamt" - you can buy hand-made soaps of sheep's milk and all sorts of odd things there:

Just a very pretty house in Krems (middle):

The "Marillenknödel" were smaller this year, for some reason. Too bad... :
