I've finished the gift box for the other retiring colleague.

Opened version:

My personal favourite, the outer layer with the windows, the teddy bears and the 3D flowers:

In the unlikely case that anybody would be interested (nobody was the last time), more details can be seen here:

Apparently, I'm losing my crafts fans as well. :(

It's turned out lovely as always! Are you taking a creative pause or is it more that you're waiting for the next occasion?

Those were very urgent projects, as the people who're getting it will be leave us next week. After all this mad crafting I hope to calm down a bit and do some actual writing.

I'm quite pleased with this box, but take a look at the previous post - I think that one is more subdued but more beautiful. The papers used to the other one are simply amazing.

Yeah that's true about the other box - though I had figured that was intentional, different styles for different colleagues. This one is lovely, too!

It was intentional. I specifically selected the papers for this particular colleague. She is of my age, but much more subdued and a bit conservative, I hope she'll like the colours and the patterns.

Wow, my hat is off to you. I had a friend who once crafted a Halloween part box similar to this. It was a great treat for years to come!

May I friend you?

Thank you, and friend away! I like meeting new people in cyberspace.

As for the boxes, yes, I make them from scratch. The size depends on the paper I can get, but usually these patterned cardboard papers are no larger than 24 X 20 cm. If I want to make larger boxes, I use scrapbook paper, which is 30 X 30, or buy larger sweets at the stationery shop.
