Same old, same old...

wiseheartSo, as of yesterday I'm on sick leave again. My chest pain was getting worse, so I went to the doctor's, and she ordered me to stay home. She didn't really like my heartbeat and my blood pressure, either, but the former is a reminder of the rheumatism and angina that I had as a child, so she was reassured that I won't die on the spot.
Aside from the chest pain, which has nothing to do with breathing or coughing - or with heart problems, since I had those long enough in my misspent youth and know all too well what they feel like - I'm basically OK, just tired and listless all the time. A bit of heightened temperature in the evening and a bit of coughing (which I continually have between October and April), but that is all.
I'll have to go back to the doctor's on Monday and we'll see how we go on from them. I hate falling out from school again, as so many colleagues are sick and the rest dangerously overworked, but there's nothing I can do about it at the moment. The only positive aspect is that I don't have to take part of that stupid ball where the others are doing slave labour right now.
Of course, with so many sick days in a row I won't earn enough money to pay for cold water in the next month, as we say it over here, but that's another thing I can't do a thing about right now. At least I managed to write a bit today - not for an actually existing story, mind you, but it was an idea that had been bothering me for a while. I wrote over 7 pages today, another few paragraphs and the chapter is done and I can sink it in the desk drawer. *fingers crossed*
