Progress report on the self-made journal

wiseheartI've decided to call the project "The Retro Party", mostly because I used the motive papers from a collection called "Retro". And they have several tabs with "Retro Party" title, so I can use one of those as the label.
So far, I've finished the cover, using two different kinds of motive carton, both themed "summer", depicting bathing suits, flip-flops, sunglasses, swimming rings, ice cream and a woman hugging a huge beach ball. I've cut the pages and decorated about 2/3 of them. I hope to finish the decorating part this week. Then will come the really hard part: binding the journal by sewing the pages sectionwise to the cover spine. I'm already deadly afraid of that part, but I'm determined to finish it.
When the journal is done, I think I'll give it to Mum to put some holiday photos into it. She's already very impressed by it. If I can, I'll make a short video about turning the pages, so that you folks can see what it looks like. Single photos won't be as helpful, but if I can't make the video, there'll be photos, I promise.
