Work is still incredibly stressful - or I'm getting older and more unable to deal with useless shit. Nonetheless, for the first time in over a month, this week I got a teeny little bit written. Not very much, nor is it particularly original, but it is writing, which is a relief. I was getting worried that I'd never find my way back to the pen again.

Also, below the felt Santa I've made during the virtual party. I did promise a pic, didn't I?

Not a very good picture, as I took it in a hurry, with insufficient light in the room, but for now it will do. Perhaps I'll try to take a better one.

Oh, and Baby Theo's Advent calendar is finished, too. These are the final Christmas Elves, with their backpacks still empty and they aren't properly arranged yet, but they do look funny, I think. Judge for yourselves:

Bawwww they are adorable!

And that felt Santa! It's so intricate, so much sewing of tiny fiddly parts!

The Santa took me four days to make. The Elves - half a year. But they turned out well enough, so it was worth the effort.

Your Santa has gentleman's charm about him -- I hope he'll join our parties for years to come!

And the Advent Elves are a hoot! A whole gaggle of happy faces! I like the red-and-green and green-and-red variations. I can't read what's on the little buttons on their bellies, but I assume those are the dates of advent.

What is your tradition? Do you put a piece of candy or a little toy in each backpack? Do just kids take turns each day, or do adults join in, too?

It is usually for kids, and we put sweets into them. But I made a set for us, too, and Mum and I are determined to indulge. *g*
The calendar will serve us for a year, then I'll gift it upon a colleague with a granddaughter of the same age as Baby Theo.

I forgot to add: there are the numbers 1-24 on the bottom on their bellies indeed. You'll be able to read them when you click on the photo to enlarge.
