Strawberry cream squares
Jul. 28th, 2016 11:51 amThey've been made from frozen puff pastry and a bag of strawberry cream powder that has been standing on the pantry shelf for... well, forever. I used red currant jam and lemon icing to decorate the top - well the marbled surface didn't turn out shiny enough, but it will do.
They are also fairly flat, the poor things, I'd have needed twice as many cream to fill them properly, but since this was done to use up ages-old resources and for no other reason, I went with what I had at home. They are really delicious, though, and that's what counts, right?
