More felt art

I've finished my first religious piece today. I don't really intend to make particularly religious ornaments, but this one with the holy heart of the Virgin Mary captured my imagination. As you can say, the number and variety of details was quite the challenge. I'm pleased with the results, but I doubt I'd make many more such complex pieces. Aside from the three Wise Men and the knight in the armour that are already in the planning. ;)

Well, they were the only flower-shaped band you can buy ready-made. I added the yellow bead in the middle for better effect. There was no way I could actually make lilies; the ornament is barely larger than the picture in reality.

It's beautiful; the expression is so peaceful, and there are so many tiny, tiny details!! I can't imagine the precise cutting you had to do! Are those beads at the centre of the daffodils?

Yet, small glass beads. It was a lot of work indeed, but I enjoyed doing it.

The details were hard work, since the whole ornament is smaller than my palm, but I think the results are worth the effort.
