What is your preferred Easter food?

I makes each year a fantastic Easter ham, baked in the oven with lots of cumin and garlic. Yum! Then I usually bake a small, round bread, with raisins. Or soft rolls with dried fruits, for breakfast. I am planning to bake 4 sorts of biscuits this year. The Nutella bunnies and the orange cookies are already done. I need to bake the lemony Easter eggs and the little sheep yet. And colouring the eggs, of course.

I do love Osterzopf, which is probably similar to your Easter braid since it comes with raisins and almonds (Mandelsplitter)

We don't really have a traditional Easter meal. This year we're gonna do Sauerbraten cuz it's been a long time since the last Sauerbraten. If I get around to it I will make a lamb cake with my lamb form, thoug.

Fish! :) There'll be Salmon in flaky pastry with dill sauce on Friday and Seafood Fondue on Sunday! Yum! :D

Sauerbraten is fantastic, I do the simple version every other month. Osterzopf is yummy, too.
The ham is Hungarian tradition, though I found this particular recipe in "Kochen und Küche". I've overdone the garlic a bit when I prepared the ham last night, but I think it will be delicuous nonetheless.

I'll do the coloured eggs today.

Awesome! If I can get white eggs on Saturday I might color eggs, too, still have a package of coloring left over from last year.

And yes, Sauerbraten is fantastic!

Actually, brown eggs can also be coloured. Red, blue, green, purple and orange colours work well enough. Not yellow, though.

Das mit dem Marmorieren ist voll in die Hose gegangen. Das teure Zeug das ich bei Aldi gekauft habe hat nicht funktioniert, obwohl ich die Gebrauchsanweisung sklavisch gefolgt habe. Also musste ich die alten Farben vom letzten Jahr herausholen. Wenigstens sind die Eier toll geworden: ein tiefes, leuchtendes Rot. Aber das Geld Für die Marmorfarbe war verschwendet. Dratted.

Schade! Bei mir hat Marmorieren bislang immer geklappt, allerdings mit weißen Eiern. Ich hatte dazu aber nie teure Farbe, maximal 2 Euro? Aldi-Farben hatte ich noch nie, wohl auch besser so.

Bis jetzt haben die Dinge die ich bei Aldi gekauft habe immer funktioniert. Vielleicht bin ich einfach nur doof.
I'm Übrigen ist es durchaus möglich dass die Marmorfarbe für deutsche Verhältnisse günstig war. Es ist die Umrechnung die die Preise bei dem hiesigen Aldi nach oben drückt. Immerhin ist ein Euro über 300 Forint wert.

Ich habe meine Osterkränzchen, Schäfchenkekse und zitronige Ostereier frtig. Die Nachbarn waren von meinem Freundschaftskorb sehr angetan.
