So, me dearies... First and foremost, many, many thanks for the good thoughts and the well-wishes. I feel better now that the fever is gone and with it the cold shivers, the nausea and the dizziness. I still bark like a dog, but I'll likely do so for the next three weeks, so it's a condition rather than an illness at this stage.

Of course, it's a sad, sad thing that I'll miss the annual charity ball on Saturday, but that's a loss I'll have to deal with. (wipes false tears from the corner of the eye) It's such a joy each year to serve coffee to drunk parents till 1 am, I don't know how I'll bear missing it this year.

In any case, I put the last two days to good use, planning out the second part of Torchwoodgate Year One as well as Year Two and Year Three to a certain detail and doing some research for it. That's the advantage of an iPad; it enables you to work in bed. The disadvantage is the dratted autocorrect, but that's not something we can help.

Tomorrow I'll go back to the doctor and see if she lets me go back to work on Monday. Not that I'd be that eager, but the colleagues are run ragged, too, and will be especially after the ball, so if I'm okay, I will go.

So glad you're feeling better! But such a *tragedy* that you'll have to miss the charity ball this year - hehe!
I know what you mean about the ipad - I used to try balancing my laptop to read in bed; the ipad makes it all so easy. As I spend so much time in bed I LOVE my ipad. I bought a light kepboard case, so that my ipad can sit upright like a mini laptop - it's brilliant.
I turned off my cursed autocorrect in Settings. Settings -> General -> Auto-Correction -> Off. Hope that helps. Feel better soon!

Glad to hear you're feeling better! Such a shame about the charity ball, though :P

Happy to hear you are feeling better and that you were able to get in some fic planning while stuck in bed.

A tragic loss indeed. *nods sagely*

Planning is the smaller problem. Now, getting the time and peace to actually write it, that will be hard. Especially as I'm planning to try my hand on steampunk and the Omegaverse (in the aliens made them do it version) and insectoid transformation in various parts, *g*

So am I. Even if it means to return to slave labour, soon.

No prob. Thanks for the suggestion. Autocorrect kills my last nerve, as the Germans would say. I don't like writing on the iPad - hell, I don't even like typing on the laptop, as I use all ten fingers, and only a proper keybord is really suited for that - but it's a godsend when you're sick and in bed.

Steampunk, eh? I've been seeing some sculptures and photomanips in that aesthetic lately that I like.

That combination sounds fascinating!

Thanks. The planet Hoff visually did have similarities with 19th century imperial Austria, so I thought steampunk would be believable.

My deepest condolences on the tragedy of missing the ball. Someday, I hope, the memory will fade, and you will be released from the profound sorrow such a loss must surely bring. [snicker]
