espresso_addict: My hearing is so odd & my voice so quiet, I'm still with the Spawn of Sauron camp. But indeed, they are good for emergencies, when internet & landlines are out of reach. Actually I have a 'new' mobile (one of my brother's) but I've not used it yet.
