... I don't have to like the fact that everyone else has a life and therefore little to no time to share my obsessions which are numerous.

Am sick like a dog. The only thing worse than a full-blown cold is when said cold doesn't manage to break out properly and the victim suffers through sleepless nights due to a completely stuffed head, splitting head-aches, a sore throat and the strange fact that my teeth hurt. My otherwise healthy teeth. Had them checked recently, so I can be reasonably sure.

Everyone else has a life, so that they don't have the time to read my wondrous stuff and give me the gushing reviews I'd so richly deserve. All I have is this rotten cold, and even that is not a proper one, so that I could get over with in a week and forget the whole thing. Life is unfair.

I hope your cold gets better soon! (If it's your upper teeth that hurt, that's actually easily explained - the same nerves that innervate your sinuses also supply sensation to your upper teeth. So when your sinuses get infected and plugged up, it makes your teeth hurt.)

As for the reviews - I get the feeling the fandom is slowing down. Perhaps things will pick up again after the thrid movie comes out.

Yes, it is the upper teeth thingy. Thanks for explaining it, I was getting these horrid images about my dentist (who's a nice lady, actually) running amok with big, scary instruments...

The part with the reviews was a joke. I thought about them as comfort food. Less destructive for the girlish shape than chocolate and good for the fragile ego, too. ;)

As for the third movie, I'm already frightened out of my mind. I read some spoilers on the Axe&Bow list, and if a tenth of them is true, it's bad enough. Plus, imagine the amount of inane Mary Sues, 10th walkers and badslash that would appear right after the first showing.
*shudders*

I think poor Denethor would better find a good hiding place. What Thranduil had got in bashing is nothing against what Denethor would get, as soon as the illiterate and the foolish have seen him.

Danke! Du weißt ja, wie es mit Erkältungen ist: mit dem Doktor sind sie in einer Woche geheilt, aber ohne Doktor dauern sie ganze sieben Tage.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rotten. (I recognise the hurting teeth, so I know how that feels). Hope you will get better within a week.

As for the fandom - everyone seems to have run out of energy, and reviews are few and far between. If you didn't hate the movies so much, I'd venture to say that maybe the extended TTT version will bring a revival.

Oh, I actually intend to buy the extended version once it comes out. Though what I've read about it so far (a drunken Legolas in Meduseld and stuff like that) makes me wonder if I really should.

Ah, well, when you buy a horror movie you know what to expect...
