I've added a few paragraphs to Chaoter 6 of Atonement - barely worth mentioning, but I'm more than willing to share:

Excerpt #1:
In which the gang discusses what they could expect from Adam.

“I doubt that he’d try anything in the next couple of weeks,” he added. “I expect him to bid his time; try to lure us into a feeling of false safety. Then, when he thinks that our vigilance has begun to slip, he’ll make his move.”

“Why are you so sure about that?” Dr. Fox asked.

Ianto gave her a bland smile. “That’s what I’d do,” he answered simply.

“Yeah, but you’re a sneaky bastard,” Owen said.

“And he’s a certified computer genius,” Ianto reminded him. "Underestimating him would be a mistake."

I was also pondering a little more about the Sherlock-as-the-Doctor story, mostly about the identity of Mrs. Hudson. It was to be one of the classwic!Who companiouns from the beginning, and I was hesitating between Dodo Chaplet and Polly, weighing pros and contras against each other. In the end, I chose Dodo, for various reasons, with the possibility in the back of my head that Polly could be, in fact, Mrs Turner next door. The two knew each other for a short time, and they both returned to 1966, eventually, so with a little stretch of imagination it would be possible that they got in contact again.

Also, I wrote a short piece about how exactly Mycroft plans to fit the Doctor in and a few paragraphs about Mrs Hudson being unhappy with her pre-Sherlock situation.

Excerpt #2:
In which Mycroft has a cunning plan.

“Any ideas how we’re supposed to do it?” he asked. Being dependent on Mycroft’s help was something he hated very much, but in his current situation he couldn’t be choosy.

Mycroft gave him one of those sickly smiles that always made his stomach churn. “Actually… yes. I’m going to adopt you.”

It didn’t happen very often that the Doctor would stare at someone with open-mouthed shock. This was one of those rare occasions.

“You are going… what?”

Excerpt #3:
In which Mrs Hudson bemoans her bad luck.

Dorothea Hudson née Chaplet was slowly getting desperate. Buying 221B Baker Street hadn’t turned out quite the old age insurance she’d thought it would. Why, it had only been three weeks since she’d manage to get rid of that very unpleasant young man with the unacceptable smoking and drinking habits… not to mention his lady friend who tried to run her own questionable business (of the horizontal sort) from the same flat.

Her flat, the one into which she’d put so much work and love to make it a good home for someone who would deserve it.

Sometimes she really envied Mrs Turner and her married ones next door. Sure, in her youth you wouldn’t even think of two men getting legally married, but at least Mrs Turner’s boys were polite, mild-mannered and very, very fastidious.

So, that's it for the time being. No progress made with Elfhelm, but I think I might continue translating the parts of Chapter 12 that can be used for the Tolkienised version. Perhaps the must will cease striging after a while.
