Thanks to the never-failing inspiration that is [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo, after 3 years, I finally managed to update "Emissary of the Mark", also known as "How Elfhelm Went to Rhun, Saved the Day an Got the Girl". Chapter 7: Ragnar the Smith is posted to FF.Net and SoA.

Thanks. I hope you'll like it. So far, the interest for the update is underwhelming, on both places. *sighs*

*hugs* I finally got as far as reading it - reread the whole story as I couldn't remember clearly what had happened. It is a great story, and I really look forward to reading more of it. I love the detail that you put into the worldbuilding - all the different cultures feel so real and distinctive. Elfhelm's culture shock and contrasting of the different cultures is wonderful - and how lucky he is to have Strider there to help him! (I am so glad that I know that it ends up happily for him and Imogen - otherwise I'd be really worried about both for them). I am intrigued to see how the story will turn out and fit into canon. <3
(commenting here as I really can't cope with all the spam filterers on ff.net now :( )

Thanks you - especially for re-reading the whole thing. I'm glad someone did it, because that way any inconsistencies after the long hiatus would have been fallen into your eye. (Is that even an English phrase?)

For the future, I suggest SoA - much easier to deal with than with FF.Net, and one can answer any reviews right on the website.

I didn't notice any inconsistencies. :)
I think in English it would be more usual to say "that the eye falls on"

*nods* I tried to work out if I had an account there before and failed - oh, well, I can make a new one for the future. :)
