Tolkien archives
May. 26th, 2012 07:01 pmI just realized that I haven't posted to the TFF archive for Ages. Part of the reason is, of course, that I've been writing low-rated, non-slash fic lately, all things that would be acceptable for SoA. And SoA has the incredible advantage that I don't have to do all the frigging hand-coding. I just upload my chapter to SoA, and the software does the rest for me. Very clever design.
Another reason I like SoA is that even people like me, who aren't buddy-buddy with the Big Name Fans, get the occasional change to be read, even the odd review or two. No such chance at TFF. People seem to believe that authors - especially nobodies - don't need feedback, and even less so any kind of encouragement. I wonder why.
Unless you've got your personal following, of course, which certainly helps in *any* archive.
