Pre-Easter fun with kids
Mar. 20th, 2012 07:14 pmYesterday, we made some bunny-shaped finger puppets of felt with the fifth-term girls in the afternoon. They worked very hard, the poor things; it's not easy to toss a needle through two layers of felt, not even for me with my big, hardened fingers, and for them it was truly hard labour. But they stitched away valiantly. The bunny ears and the round cheeks are sewed on now; they'll have to make eyes and noses from glass pearls and stitch the whole thing together in another (or two) session(s). But they seemed to enjoy themselves greatly, and though the results were uneven at best, I'm sure their Mums will be happy with the gifts.
