wiseheartToday, we went to the annual theatre festival of the German minority in our district, where our 5th and 7th term classes both lose in the comptetition against much lower level performances in a spectacular display of favoritism. Nothing can really surprise me in this context anymore, but I feel sorry for the kids. They were so excited and worked so hard, and their performance was truly superb. :(
My colleagues and I are considering boycotting the whole thing in the next couple of years. But again, it's not our decision, in the end.
I should have stayed in my sickbed, instead of getting out and assisting to this farce.
