Unexpected

wiseheartHard to believe after almost two years, but I've actually felt the inspiration to write Tolkienfic again! Go figure!
My original plan was to work a bit on the Merlin epic again. As I was leafing through my research stuff, though, stored away safely for exactly this purpose, I came across the unfinished epic saga "The Book of Mazarbul" again: the story featuring Balin's heroic undertaking to reconquer Moria.
I've laid it aside two years ago because I ran out of inspiration; plus, I was not content with the jump made after Chapter 03. So, now I'm not only moving on with what was supposed to be Chapter 08, I've also found the necessary idea for a filling chapter between 03 and 04, which would hopefully make the entire story move on much smoother, showing how Rei and Náli have actually bonded for life, although it hadn't seem that way at the beginning; and there will be some more travelling stuff between 04 and 05, giving them the chance to grown more familiar with Flói.
We are still years away from the actual Moria expedition, but working out the backgrounds of the individual Dwarves going on this Himmelfahrtscommando is great fun.
