I had a wonderful (although exhausting) trip, during which I met the following lovely people: ooxc, solanpolarn, altariel, the_wild_iris and, as an additional surprise, edge_of_ruin.

More later, as I'm currently dead, and have to figure out where LJ has hidden the "Embed image" button that seems to have vanished, so I can't add any picspam at the moment.

Gwen admitted that the deaths of Tosh Owen and Ianto made her feel more important! Jack is now dead for sure, as he and Gwen promised to kill each other! Jack's new/old lover turns out to be a betraying asshole who happily tortured Jack along with the rest of his insane village. More Jesus references! Also, Jane Espenson admitted that MD is an AU on Twitter because she couldn't explain her fuck-ups! Imagine that, so many space in Jack's dodgy timeline and they still manage to make a completely paradoxal Flashback!

Also! The miracle day seems to be Jack's fault because one of the villagecrazies took a vial of his blood and most likely used it to facilitate the Miracle. Never mind the fact that it was never in Jack's blood to begin with!!

This show just keeps getting better and better! :D

Uploading pictures is there, but you can't just resize them once they are on a post, you have upload them and dance around and - screw this I'm making them smaller in Microsoft pic editor first and then uploading them. Oh and if you post in rich text - you get extra lines added, and screws up formatting you already have in place and...and Gwen kidnaps Jack to give him to the bad guys after her daughter is kidnapped (6 months after jack kills his own grandchld to save the children of earth) and...

nothing much happened. Same old, same old, on TW, LJ and life as we know it.

I don't know about that, since I no longer use the LJ Scrapbook feature to post pics (I'm using SmugMug now). But LJ has decided not to send email comment notifications from some of the folks on my Friends list, for no discernible reason (except, perhaps, that they have numbers in their LJ names).

They are still there - they just look different. Media embedding seems about the same, but pictures can be a bit different.

See the drop down for font size? To the right there is a globe and then an LJ user head. Right of that are the picture and media icons.

My first thought when I saw the LJ update explaining the redesign of the buttons and the other 'improvements' was, "Oh no! What've they messed up now?" I wish they'd leave good enough alone and settle for fixing the things that DONT work. :-/

I apparently do. All I can see atop the posting section is the subject line. Perhaps because I still have an outdated browser on my laptop. I'll try on my main PC tomorrow, it's got IE8.

Apparently, the shiny new things don't work on my laptop because I use an outdated IE6. Funnily enough, a lot of things work much better with said outdated IE6, which is the reason why I keep it on my laptop, while I updated to IE7 on this PC (mostly for YouTube).

And yeah, Mum walked me into the ground. She climbed up to the upmost deck of the "Victory", the warship Nelson won the Battle of Trafalger with, while I cowardly stayed on the deck below, panicking from the mere thought of it. ;))

It was great indeed. Mum was so pleased to meet you guys - she as especially touched that Andria, too, made the effort to come, as we haven't exactly been in touch most. She's very fond of Andria. ;)

She also told me that while she didn't understand a word, of course, she imagined that you would be the easiest to understand, since you're a teacher yourself and used to speak clearly. Guess what? She's right.

Having been out of contact for 11 days is really bad. People have written so much in my absence I'm still trying to catch up with all the updates, and with work having started today again... I haven't written a single letter for almost three weeks, which is frustrating, too.
