I confess to liking the old-fashioned tree, but blown-glass ornaments from my mum's childhood were part of my childhood, so I have a bias there.
The cookie plate looks delicious, especially here where it's just past 4pm and thus time for tea and biscuits. [stops self from licking the laptop screen] The crescent cookies look familiar: are they a dense, rich dough with powdered sugar on the outside, all of which crumbles when one bites into them?
