So, I've posted "Special Unit 3" to FF.Net. It's pure crackfic, with gender-bending, body-swap, mpreg and all; a crossover between Torchwood, Dr. Who and Special Unit 2. I put a big, honking warning in the header that Gwen Cooper fans probably shouldn't read it, because it's not Gwen-friendly... although, compared with my series in which I kill her off in every part, I think I was being fairly moderate in this one.

That was yesterday. Today, the story's already made it into the Torchwood Badfic comm on FF.Net. I very much doubt that the moderator has even read it - just put it there because it wasn't Gwen-friendly. Pathetic, really.

I wanted to write an analysis on the latest episode of "Firefly" but hasn't come to get it done yet. So, just to be short: it was clichéd and fairly boring. Even if you're into westerns, which I'm not. Nuff said.

Oh, and by the way, I've updated "Auguries of Immortality". You can read the new chapter either on [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib or on FF.Net.

"The Train Job", I think. I'm never really sure, as German episode titles rarely match the original.

Firefly is one of my favorite shows and I understand why you don't like the western aspect but it does get more science-fiction-y later on. In particular, I'd recommend the episodes, "Out of Gas," "Ariel," and "Objects in Space(the very last episode.)"

That sucks about the badfic nonsense. I'm not interested in Torchwood but I doubt anything you write could ever qualify as a bad fic. Some people are way too touchy about certain pairings in a lot of fandoms. It's a little silly.

Oh, I'm not particularly bothered by it. I'm used to be given shit by idiots who feel affronted because I don't worship the same characters they do. You should have seen all the petty nastiness I've encountered in the Tolkien fandom for years... well, perhaps it's better you haven't. It wasn't pretty.

I hope I'll find at least some appeal in Firefly eventually. So far, it hasn't rocked my boat at all. Not enough sci-fi for my taste, and the characters still refuse to grow on me. Well, we'll see.

Some people can't get a clue if you print it in huge letters in 50 languages and stick on the wall in front of them. [insert image of Worf saying, "They are without intelligence."]

Heh! I could just see Michael Dorn glaring at someone from under those enormous (prostethic) eyebrows while saying that. *g*

I'm not really bothered by the idiot, honest. I've had worse in the Tolkien fandom, where I actually cared about people's opinions - past tense, as I've been hurt too often to do so. Right now, I just write what I feel like, and if they don't read/like/appreciate it, it's their loss. Considering the mediocre crap that seems to be so popular, it's actually a sign of greatness to be disliked by the mainstream. ;)
