Thank God it's weekend again!
Jan. 17th, 2009 01:32 pmOh, don't worry, I'm not about to share the joys of freezing on the school yard or dragging whole school classes to the dentist during this weather with you. In fact, I'm trying very hard not to think about it - or work in general - during weekend. That I've survived another week is more than enough, isn't it? I even managed to grade all my students right before the deadline, so it's a succes.
My very first Criminal Minds fanfic is going on nicely, considering that I have to write it in bits and pieces between two lessons. Part 04 has just been posted to my Insane Journal. So far, it's only available there, in the unlikely case that anyone is interested.
I intend to post it to FF.Net when it's finished. I don't expect it to make a great impact or whatnot. It's a relatively long casefic, but without all too much action or smoochies, yet a great deal of discussion and introspection. I assume most people will find it utterly boring, but I'm having great fun integrating Criminal Minds in the fanfic-eathing Pathways universe. People who've read my vampire stories would have lots of fun being reunited with familiar characters at every bend. But perhaps some of those who only read it for the Criminal Minds content would enjoy some aspects, too.
Actually, I wanted to save what little time I have for finishing "The Web of Darkness" and "Alternate Resolutions" next. But those dratted plotbunnies just won't cooperate. I guess having Criminal Minds reruns on Hungarian TV every night from Monday to Friday does have something to do with it. Interestingly, while they also have CSI reruns six days a week (all three incarnations) I never felt the urge to write CSI fanfic. Even though I like the shows.
