Whatever happened to Yahell?

I'm unable to reach any of my Yahoo groups - or my old website, which is a Geocities one, for that matter. Anyone else having difficulties?

I can go to yahoo.com and access several links on their sidebar, like Finances and Maps and stuff, but Groups (and also Hot Jobs, not that *that* would be of any interest for me) are unaccessible all the time.

Frack! I'm still locked out. I'll try to delete all cookies and see what happens. Could you, please, look me up whether my post via e-mail has appeared on the main Edhellond list?

Do you use NoScript or any other automatic cookie blocker? I am using a Firefox with a NoScript plugin, which blocks all cookies I do not allow from then on automatically. I had then made the mistake to block one (completely different) Yahoo cookie. With the effect that from then on, I could not log in on Yahell, until I deleted all blocking info onm the yahoo cookies and generally allowed them.

Otherwise, you can try deleting all cookies, indeed. Sometimes, they simply do not find the new one, but will relate to an old one and deny access to the site because of that.

I've tried. It didn't work. I don't use any automatic cookie blockers that I'd know of. Actually, I didn't even know that such things existed in the first place. It seems that I can post to Memory Alpha via e-mail, but am unable to access the site itself.

Not only can't I log in, I don't even get to see the site - any Yahoo Group at all, or my Geocities website. Every time I try it, the usual "Page cannot be found" message appears. I hate being so technically challenged, really! I don't even know where to begin to look for a problem, or whom to contact.

Could be a problem with the site itself or with a dns-server. The aff.net website was unaccessible for a few days two years ago because the dns-serves led people always to another site when they tipped in the site address.

I wonder why it would only affect Yahoo, though.

I have no problem to check in, and found a post of you on south haven from 8:49 p.m., that is about two hours ago. Since we are in the same time zone, it worked then. I've seen no other post, though.

That was my only post, thanks. I managed to post to Memory Alpha via Hotmail (I use my alternate address there), so theoretically, I can reach my groups via e-mail. Apparently, they haven't banned me or whatnot.

I'm halfway used to have problems with FF.Net, but this is a new version.

The most annoying thing is that many of my saved bookmarks are only stored in the Links sections of my various groups, because I haven't had the time to save everything to my laptop yet.

I think something has happened on Yahoo - it says my id or pword is incorrect (hasn't changed since opened and I used it yesterday).
Waaahhh! All those saved messages and fics to read and links and ....

Oh, so it's not just me! I'm sorry for you, but at the same time, I'm also relieved that not my own PC is the culprit. Hopefully, they're gonna save the problem, soon. I used my ID and password yesterday, too...

In the meantime, we can still take the alternate rute to LJ, thank God!

I'll try rom the school computer on Monday, to see whether the problem is with my PC or Yahell nowadays simply doesn't like Hungarian IPs. It's really annoying. Not only can't I reach any Yahoo Groups, no Geocities sites show up for me at all!

Yes, it is there
