Got another PRECIOUSSS!!! from [livejournal.com profile] the_wild_iris today. Thanks, Gemma, you're really generous.

Got another week of sick leave from my doctor, too - which is also a generous thing. I'm much better than I was but two days ago, but still light years away from being really well. So, this week without kids will be nice.

Started to post "The Web of Darness" to TFF. Still no illusions here, but at least if will be awailable, even if FF.Net is feeling hissy. And when does it not?

Next chapter to "The Vault of the Dead" is halfways done. I hope to finish it tomorrow and post it on the day after, at the lates. Well, we'll see. I didn't intend to start anything new for a while, but this tale just wanted out. Besides, this is my very first actual Faramir story - well, more or less - so I feel like celebrating.

Erinnyes sent me the beta-ed Ch 12 of "Out of Legends". Will try to take a look tomorrow. My only story that actually gets beta-ed... not a small feat in these days.

So much to write and so little time to do it, even during sick leave. Of course, the fact that only part of my brain is functioning doesn't make it any easier. But I'll try my best.

Here's hoping the extra week of rest has you feeling better!

I hope you feel better many days before you are expected to perform at work!

It sounds like you do need the extra time off. I hope that it helps, and you're feeling better soon.

Oh, I'm glad it arrived! It's the first of a trilogy, so if you like it, I can send the others.

You seem to do more writing in a week when you're sick than I do in a whole year. Glad you've got some more time off to rest and catch up.

I'm afraid it's unlikely, but being able to stay home when I'm not feeling that godawful anymore (just moderately) is a true blessing.

Thanks. I'm trying not to give in to the lingering depression, now that I'm actually feeling better. That would be a criminal waste of my precious off time.

Thanks. It *is* helping not to have to go back to the brats while still just half-healed. This time I've managed to catch a really big one.

Yeah, the thing with the writing is that I simply force myself to do it when I have the time. The results are not always stellar, but I'm too old to wait for getting truly inspired. And I can always revamp things later - not that I'd have done much of it so far.

Again, thanks for the book. It seems... different, at first sight. I'll come back to you when I've read it and discuss it.

I'm glad to hear you got the extra sick time - I was worried you were not mending quickly enough to be back in the classroom so soon. Feel better quickly, and enjoy your opportunity to celebrate your MEFA triumphs and write whatever makes you happy. Just remember to take your regular doses of Tyr and Charlemagne - VERY important to maintain an appropriate level of inner heat...

Yeah, indeedly - Tyr and Charlemagne in the same episode could make a person spontaneously combust, despite the criminally ugly costume the PTB managed to put that poor James for the role. *g*

And I wrote an awful lot, updated three stories and seriously hope to manage two more updates before the week is over, so... I think I ought to kiss my doctor's hand on Friday when I go back for the next check-out.
