wiseheartYep, finally got around to see the movie on Hungarian TV. Gah, was it bad. Not necessarily because of the differences to mythology - honestly, I didn't miss the stupid gods who manipulated the life of men like chess pieces. And Sean Bean as Odysseus was great. I even liked Orlando Bloom as Paris - a lot more than as Legolas, to be perfectly honest. And I absolutely loved Hector, whoever the actor was who played him.
But, oh God, Brad Pitt!!! The quintessence of godawfulness on two legs. Not only did he look like a complete moron, he couldn't act a bit, either.
Now, I readily admit that I'm biased - I hate that guy with the passion of a thousand burning suns. I haven't seen him in one thing where I could have endured him. But as Achilleus, he truly reached a new level of badness.
Feel free to throw rotten tomatoes at me. *g*
