Nov. 26th, 2006 04:58 pmOkay, this is something I wanted to share for day, but the one or other crisis (cable TV breakdown, fresh bouts of depressions and the likes) always got in the way. *shakes fist at RL*
I got myself something shiny and Precioussss... a book by the tile of Hungarian Castles and Fortresses. Oh my, but it's a gorgeous piece of work! It shows the most beautiful ones within the borders of historic Hungary - not the current ones, but the ones we used to have before the Treaty if Trianon mutilated our country, taking away two thirds of what we had originally had. Well, it's our damned fault - how do we manage to ally ourselves with the losing side every frigging time?
Anyway, the book shows castles from what is now Austira, Slowakia, Romania, Slowenia or Ukraina. They are all wonderful. Some of them I haven't even heard before. Mum and I are now considering to do some more travelling inside the country - as soon as we've seen Carcassonne, that is.
In other news, I've finished Part 3 of "The Young Knights". I doubt I'd be able to produce 24 parts till Xmas, so no Advent calendar this year. I'll post the pieces in a way, though, so that the last one would be posted on Xmas Eve. That should be good enough.
FF.Net is having a fit again. I wanted to post some of my QAF/Vampries x-over stuff that has been lurking on my HD for Ages, but the stupid site won't let me upload any documents. *kicks FF.Net*
Next week will be Hell at school. Do feel sorry for me! I'm entirely too old for this sort of crap.
