Oh, joy!

It's always the small things, isn't it? I managed to sprain my little toe by getting caught by the wheel of a frigging armchair! I hope it's not broken, but it sure hurts like hell. My colleagues would be happy, as it's unlikely that I'd be able to make any leisurely walk with the German guests next week.

Life is so full of joy...

Yeah, considering my mobility when my legs are supposedly working okay, this is a new level of depth...

Oh dear! I really hope it isn't broken and you'll be able to walk normally if you take some rest tomorrow.

I *can* walk - it just hurts like a bitch. Putting on shoes will be a joy tomorrow. I'd love to rest all day, but I'll have to go voting, you know.

Maybe your mother can vote for you?

Nah, it doesn't work that way. I'll have to walk really slowly and carefully, it's not far, fortunately, but it'll still be unpleasant. But then, so are many things we still have to do, right?

Poor you; what bad luck! (Though you're in good company: the poet Ted Hughes once broke his foot getting up from a chair.) I hope it's not badly hurt and becomes less painful soon.

I think it's just sprained (have you tried moving it about very gently? sort of like a small wiggle? I usually do that to ascertain whether something is broken or merely sprained).

If you can, try not to move or work the toe too much.

*hugs tight and sends healing vibes your way*

Poor you. Toes hurt so much too. Here's to hoping it heals quickly and is only sprained.

Thanks. :)
I can move wiggle it without problems - but when I try to bend it, it hurst like hell. And putting on shoes is great fun, too. :(

Thanks. It could have hardly happened at a worse time (well, save before the holiday trip, of course). I was supposed to go sightseeing with the German guests - I can forget that, I'm afraid.

Thanks. :)
It's bearable, but very unpleasant, and it happened at a fairly inconvenient time. But again, when are things like that convenient?

Ouch. >.< I hope the pain and wound goes away soon.

Perhaps it will be better in a few days?

:( Unfortunately, these things always happen right when there's something you want to do. Murphy's Law. As long as it isn't broken.

Hey listen: barely half the people in my country can be bothered to get off their asses and vote, even without an injured foot and with a car to drive to get to the polling place. You get a 21-gun salute from me!

I hope it's feeling at least a bit better by the time you see this note. Are you able to use a bit of ice on it, to keep the swelling down, or is that dangerous with the circulation problems in your legs? Take good care of yourself!
