Zero motivation
Nov. 23rd, 2025 08:43 pmI was totally unmotivated today - but again, I always am on cleaning days. I did the first part of the monthly cleaning in the morning: bathroom, loo and kitchen. And part of the hall because I always do it twice, there is so much dust, and the stupid red carpet keeps collecting little white... things that probably come from inside it and keep returning no matter how often I vacuum the stupid thing. While I was doing slave labour, Mum attended to Mass via telly.
After breakfast I boxed my cookies and redistributed the earlier batches into boxes my friend Elise sent with her hubby. I also packed the gluten-free ones in a separate box for my friend Evie. At that point what was left from my motivation completely evaporated, so I simply curled up on my sofa and watched stupid YouTube videos. I think I need to block at least a dozen more channels to fight my addiction. *insert wry grin*
No cooking was done, except for Tütensuppe; we had some sandwiches instead, saving the last portion of Shepherd's Pie for tomorrow when I'll have to do some major grocery shopping. On Wednesday I intend to give Mary Berry's Tuscan chicken recipe a try and will have to hunt down some ingredients that usually vanish in the exact moment I want to buy them. *sigh*
Feeling the serious need for some social contacts, I called Evie and Erna (our art teacher) for a little chat. That was nice. Then we watched Season 15 (I think?) of the GBBO, and now the day is over.
No writing was done today. All higher brain functions are AWOL.
