Neighbourhood news
Apr. 3rd, 2024 08:27 pmWell, apparently, our new neighbour is going to be the late blind lady's niece; a young woman in her mid-thirties. Those we've met from the family are all fairly nice, so let's hope she will be, too - and that she won't have dogs or cats. I've got used to a life without animal droppings on the floor. *fingers crossed*
The only other news is that I've finally finished binding the baby books, with only a few mishaps that could be corrected with some effort. And since another baby girl is on her way, in a third family, I've already started a new baby book. I'm not very enthusiastic about it, so I'll keep it fairly simple. But I've worked closely with the grandmother-to-be for decades, and she's a very nice lady, plus I was the class teacher of the mother and her twin, so I can't possibly leave them out, right?
No cooking today, thank goodness, but we did have a visit from the physiotherapist. Plus, our cleaning lady called that she's going to have an opening next Monday and could come, which is a mixed blessing. It's good to have help again, but we haven't planned to do the frenzy so early on. So, on Sunday we'll be putting things up onto high surfaces again. *sigh*
