... because, you know, dancing would have been totally inadequate. Especially with an umbrella in one hand and a big, lumpy shopping bag in the other one.

I hadn't originally planned to leave the house - not until yesterday afternoon, that is. Until the urge of buying more ready-made "Merry Christmas" felt appliqués for later overcame me. Fortunately, I also had to go to the pharmacy, so I could justify going out into the rain and to the Savoy Park shopping centre. Which, as I've probably mentioned several times, is a nice and small one, just two tram stops from our house. And it has a capricious vending machine that can produce yummy coffee if it's in the mood.

Today it was in the mood. Of course, I had to buy some totally unnecessary fabric cuts first to have coins for the machine, but oh, well. Those fabric cuts are very pretty; I'm sure I'll think of something to do with them eventually. Even if it takes years. It usually does.

I've finished stitching together the last page and the back cover of the songbook, so that's progress. I don't feel like overdoing all the crafting at the moment. I'm trying to get back to writing... with various degrees of success. Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that the piece of ooooold writing I had intended to translate into English had already been translated. Just not typed up into the computer, so I totally forgot about it. Tomorrow I'll try to transcribe it and perhaps post it to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib, since it's more or less an independent piece, meant to be the prologue of a future story. We'll see if there'll be enough light for me to read my own handwriting.
