Bloody Sunday
Nov. 12th, 2023 07:14 pmWell, not quite literally, but almost... in that I've massacred the pomegranate and the kitchen looked like a particularly bloody murder scene afterwards. Next time (in five or ten years) I'll give
noadvertising's method a try. At least I could get the blood juice drops off the wall relatively easily. Our kitchen is painted white...
I've also made another batch of ginger syrup with honey for my friend Evie. Her new house isn't properly insulated and thus bitterly cold in the winter. Tea with ginger syrup will do her a wealth of good, or so I hope.
The kitchen battle ate most of my morning and early afternoon; grating ginger is heavy work, let me tell you. So I haven't done all that much afterwards. I made a pretty label for the syrup bottle and finished two more small felt Christmas baubles that I had started last night. (Found some felt rests that needed to be put to good use.) After that I was just lazy.
