Can't wait for Advent

... because it makes finding the right subject line so easy: Advent, Day1, Advent, Day 2 and so on. It's hard to find a proper subject line when your life is as monotonous as mine. Not that I'm complaining - I really, really don't want all that... excitement that's happening all over the globe in my life. I'm just running out of proper subject lines, is all.

That said, today was a fairly typical Sunday. We got up earlier, so that Mum could attend Mass on the telly. While she was doing that, I was making spicy apple sauce for today's Topfenknödel. I added a bit of fresh ginger to the basic recipe, and it turned out so well that I'm considering making spicy apple jam based on the same recipe - only with some pectin and more sugar. We'll see. Christmas-y jams have been on my mind lately... because, you know, I have so little else to do - NOT!

After the apple sauce was made and breakfast was over, I attacked the mini sewing kits again - and finished five more! The current count is: eight down, four more to go. And the thread samples, twelve times three or four of them, plus the little cardboard... things around which to wrap them. I'm thinking white, black and blue thread, as those are the most commonly needed colours, adding one to each that would match the colour scheme of each individual kit, since they have slight colour differences.

Also, tomorrow will be cleaning day - the first cleaning frenzy in a month, as our cleaning lady was hindered two weeks ago - and that means moving my storage boxes. That gives me the chance to re-find the colourfully painted apricot pits in order to fill (and close) the already finished little surprise boxes. I think I know where they are, but one can never be sure. Wish me luck! *g*
