Slightly crafty... but mostly lazy
Sep. 22nd, 2023 07:24 pmI've finished the two birthday albums. They are nowhere near to what I would find appropriate; fortunately, the recipients are more forgiving. There are faults in one, and there are several empty pages in both - I'll suggest to glue in dried and pressed leaves, or birthday photos or whatever. The sad truth is, there were too many projects with too close deadlines lately, and I just didn't feel like working on those albums any more.
I also finished the two mini purses. Those turned out according to my expectation, so it's fine. Only had to undo one row of lace and to stitch it back: about 5 cm altogether. From now on, I'll be making small things for the Christmas fair and working on my Christmas quiet book that is more than half-finished. And on the other felt songbook, but that one isn't due before Christmas, either, so I can take my time and actually enjoy crafting again.
Not much else got done today. Mum volunteered to cook, so I could spend the afternoon in front of the telly, solving crossword puzzles and talking to my friend Evie on the phone, respectively. I greatly enjoyed being a lazy git!
