The calm before the storm

Well, not really. I've spent several hours rearranging the flat, so that the carpet cleaning could take place tomorrow. Meaning: everything that could be moved, including a great deal of sensitive china, had to be moved from the living room to the kitchen, so that cupboards can be yanked around and the carpet cleaned under them.

Fortunately, there isn't anything worth watching on the telly on Sundays, so I could work a bit on my songbook in the morning hours. Page 5 is now completed, the only thing I need to make is the finger puppet, and I did some preliminary work on Page 6 as well. I'm beginning to hope that I actually might finish this sucker on time.

It is still ungodly hot, so we opted against cooking. We had some leftover soup and ice-cream for lunch. Which means that we can look forward with real enthusiasm to supper! *g*

In terms of social life, I called my choir friend Eenie and we had a long and funny conversation. So, despite cooking alive, it was a nice day.
