But a lull nonetheless, and a welcome one, too. I must admit that I was a bit lazy today... save for the daily chores that simply have to be done, whether I feel like doing them or not.

Anyway, I've made the paper template for the quiet book binding and cut the cotton fabric for the (hopefully) right size, too. I usually suck at such things and can only hope and pray that the end product will be usable. The fact that I've already managed to get it together six times doesn't mean a thing! I can easily screw up the seventh and eight versions, which are currently in progress.

So, fingers crossed for tomorrow when I'll take out my faithful handmaid, Louise (= the baby sewing machine) for the long, straight seam. Not that it would be even close to being, you know, straight. Louise is too fast for me, and the seams always end up crooked, no matter how hard I try. And no, doing them by hand won't help. I'm excellent at making crooked seams by hand, too. At least Louise does it in five minutes, while by hand it would take an hour or so.

I then made lunch (carrot soup and apple crumble), while Mum had a visit from the physiotherapist lady. We watched some telly, took out the rubbish (Mum's daily walk, although on physio days we don't do the climbing the stairs part), Mum talked to some friends of her on the phone - and the day is basically over!

Today comes Part 2 of the German version of GBBO, though, and - if the preview are any indication - it will be a horror-themed one! Yay! I'll go offline when it begins and switch the PC back on after it ends. *g*
