Advent, Day 1
Dec. 1st, 2022 05:22 pmWhich means, I won't have to think about a subject line for a month! Yay!
In any case, I decorated the Sablés Bretons today - the ones that swallowed the stamped motivs, the meanies! I also filled the macadamia nut cookies and put away the Schokoladenmakronen (sorry, no idea what they are called in English) into their tin box. Tomorrow I'll put away the other two sorts, and then I can think of the next thing(s) to bake. *g*
Originally, I planned to make the surprise packets and the pencil holders for the fair today. Only that I realized the lolly stick items are very fragile and wouldn't survive being carried away in enthusiastic kiddie hands. So I spent the rest of the day turning 38 simple envelopes into gift bags, with the help of Washi tape, stickers and motif stock - one for each lolly stick ornament. I think they turned out well enough, but of course my schedule got turned upside down again. God, I don't know how other people get everything done in time!
Also, I got an appointment with the hairdresser, bot for myself and for Mum (since she can't go, the hairdresser will come to her; decades of friendship pay out sometimes), and talked to my cousin Andrew on the phone. And now the day is over, I still have lots of things to do for the fair and only a week to do it. *is frustrated*
On the positive side, I got my very first Christmas card today - thank you,
meathiel! I'm afraid my cards will be very late this year, since I'll have to wait and see which ones I'll have left after the fair. So, the earliest time I can post them will be next Friday. My apologies, but charity must take first place.
