Since we weren't supposed to have a working toilet from 8am to 5pm, I decided to spend the morning at the shops. I had to go to the bank anyway, because Vodafone, in its eternal (nonexisting) wisdom decided to change everyone's user ID, so I had to give the bank the new one.

Therefore I decided to look at the shops that are still selling some crafting supplies... and went a bit overboard, buying a bunch of stuff I didn't really need right now. But they were pretty, and I might use them later, and besides, who knows how long those shops will exist - or if they will keep selling craft supplies.

Then I went to the supermarket(s) and bought some food items that were on sale. Like Bords Eve margarine that we prefer and that was sold considerably cheaper than it usually is. Even the cheaper price was much higher than the normal one had been, say, a year and a half ago, but that's life right now.

When I came home, I ran into the janitor who told me that the maintenance planned for today wouldn't take place (for reasons we still don't know, but I suspect some idiot sealed their basement room and the workmen couldn't get access to the water pipes - although I might be wrong), so we can use everything, until he says no tomorrow again. Which can happen in any hour of the day, so we'll have to stock up of water in plastic bottles anyway. God, I wish this ordeal would be already over! Yes, I know it has to be done, this is an almost 50 year old building, and the pipes are probably in a sorry state, but this has been going on for over two months, for God's sake!

Anyway, we can't change it, so we try to adapt. At least I could cook in peace (the lunch that didn't take place yesterday). No crafting done today, but I ordered some of the supplies I bought, and then I had two lovely phone conversations with my (ex-)colleagues, so it was basically a good day.

Oh, and Gmail has changed its colour setting. It is all blue now. I hate blue!
