Telly woes
Feb. 6th, 2022 07:35 pmOr TV - or a remote, it's hard to tell which one - is still acting up. Mum was seriously upset this morning that she might not attend to Mass, but fortunately, at the umpteenth attempt (and after having removed and reinserted the batteries of the remote several times) the telly deigned to switch on. Why don't they have an on/off taste on these things just in case the remote gives up its spirit is beyond me!
We called the techie, but he won't be able to come any sooner than after February 15. I assume they have a family vacation or whatnot, since he's been retired for years and only does work for old customers. If the telly (or the remote) keeps on acting up, tough, I'll be forced to call another techie. Not so much for me, I've got my DVDs and the Internet, but for Mum the telly is very important. Her eyesight is too weak to read more than the absolutely necessary things, she can't go out, so yeah, the telly is needed.
Other than that, we had a quiet day. I did some crafting, even wrote a few paragraphs, made a food run... that sort of day. Tomorrow it'll be monster cleaning again, so a relatively calm day before the storm was a blessing.
