Today we had a visit from our talkative chiropodist lady. It was high time as we had claws on our feet like carnivorous dinosaurs. She usually does a good job, and today she was actually capable of talking and working at the same time. We were getting cautiously optimistic - a big mistake! Because after she was done with us, she complained for roughly 40 minutes about her husband and her son who are, admittedly, both jerks, but this is a story we've heard before - several times.

During the process I burned our midday meal that I had cooked yesterday, so that I wouldn't have to do too much housework today, and it became almost too late for Mum to eat before the physiotherapist would come - because making exercises on a full stomach isn't really a good thing.

After the physiotherapist's visit I went to school to fetch our eggsies; I couldn't make Mum believe that 28 eggs are more than enough for two people for a month. So we have 38 now. I'll have to bake some egg-heavy sponge cake for her 90th birthday to use up the stuff. Grrr!

At least I met a few (ex-)colleagues at school. Since it was after 4pm, nearly all kids were gone and my girls preparing to go home... it was nice.
