I've made considerable progress with Little Emma's quiet book. The front cover and the two middle pages are now bound, only the back cover is left. And I have to fasten the snap buckle. That's still a day's worth of labour, but at least I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel again.

Also, I've found this video today:

I think it's a great idea; I only wish I had found it while I was still teaching and my school cabinet full of barely-used notebooks the kids abandoned. What a great gift they would have made! Or we could have done some crafting with the kids themselves; they'd have enjoyed it!

In other creative attempts I've combined some leftover foodstuffs and made a meal of them - enough for tomorrow as well, so no cooking for me tomorrow. Yay! Mum volunteered to make apple soup, which will last for at least another two days, so we're covered for a while. Which is good, as next week promises to be a busy one.

I also finished Chapter 7 of "A Stitch in Time" and typed up the part of it I'd written today. Next step will be to post it to [livejournal.com profile] otherworlds_lib, since I can put in the bold fonts, italics and the likes on LJ much easier and would only have to copy and paste it to AO3 next week.
