The last eggsies till September
Jun. 9th, 2020 08:03 pmOr at least till late August. When the batch I've picked up at school runs out, we'll just have to buy them in the supermarket like everyone else. But since currently we've got 38 of them in the fridge, they'll last for a while. It appears that I baked less than usual in the recent weeks.
Anyway, today was the day of multiple food runs, as my days as a pack animal seem to be over. I squeezed in a little bit of crafting, namely cutting all the page bases for Baby Book#3 to the right size (more or less). I also typed up the few scenes of "Magic Mirror" I wrote yesterday. The story is picking up speed again, although this is another ungodly long one, so finishing it might take a few
picowrimo sessions yet. I'm trying to use the momentum while I seem "to be on the roll", as Chief O'Brien from Star Trek would put it.
I met several people at school today; none of my personal friends, though, as regular teaching still happens online. For another week or so. One of my girls called today, though, and it can be that she'll drop by tomorrow. I mean, we've already let in the janitor, the chiropodist and the cleaning lady, and she's self-isolating to even more extent than we do, so we thought we'd risk it. The idea is to exile Mum to the living room while we're having a chat in mine - it's 3.5 metres long, so we'll be able to keep the proper distance.
I'm still undecided about wearing a mask during the whole visit, but I'll definitely put on the self-made one with the pixies and fairies and mice, so that she'll have something to laugh.
