Yay! It is a small one, not even as tall as I am (and I've only grown into the horizontal during the last fifty years or so), shapely and has a wonderful scent. I got it a hour or so before the dratted rain started to fall again... and hasn't stopped still. Fortunately, it is a steady, quiet rain, so the balcony has managed to resist, so far. *fingers crossed*

In other news, I tried my hand on a turkey-estragon ragout soup for the first time in my life, and it turned out surprisingly well. Mum was very pleased. I also finished another Santa's sock and almost finished the last one, thank God. I hope to get it done tomorrow, between fetching my package from the post office and baking the enormous, fantastic cheesecake known as Russicher Zupfkuchen for Christmas Eve. I love felt work, but there's such a thing as too much of a good thing, and this is definitely that case.

Anyway, we've decided to decorate the tree with the Santa's socks and with little darlings similar to these:

These were part of the Advent's calendar I made for Baby Emma's "big" brother two years ago. Mine are all identical, but I don't have a decent pic of them. Will take one when they're hanging on the tree, with candy in their little backpacks.
