More funny snowmen
Nov. 2nd, 2019 12:16 pmTodays crafty bit was finishing some pieces of an Advent desk decoration concept my young colleague A asked me for. She isn't a crafty person, so she needed some help with that. Also, she's Jewish and didn't want the usual stuff with the Baby Jesus and little angels and stuff. So I went for funny.
These are the preliminary results: somewhat unconventional snowmen and little Christmas elves. The latter I made almost 30 years ago, when I came home from Germany, but they hadn't been used for a long time. I re-vamped them a bit, adding the collars and removing the hangers from the hats, and I think they look reasonably good.

There will also be pine trees, preferably made of large pinecones (or simply green cardboard, if I don't find the right size cones) and small "gift packages" - matchboxes wrapped in colourful Christmas paper. The whole thing will be placed on a white surface, with tea lights and tinsel.
